CLEVELAND — A protest to stop the Louis Stokes VA Center from experimenting on dogs was held on Saturday afternoon.

Protesters from Cleveland Animal Save stood outside of Louis Stokes VA Center to save three beagle puppies from being tested on by the facility.

The organization said they obtained information from the White Coat Waste Project that stated the hospital was receiving three beagles under nine months old to perform testing on.

The beagles were delivered to the medical center on Thursday, according to the organization.

The Louis Stokes VA Medical Center is one of the last sites in the country still performing tests on dogs.
