LIST: 9 beer festivals brewing in Northeast Ohio

Navigating Northeast Ohio's burgeoning beer scene can be overwhelming at times, with what seems to be a new brewery popping up every couple months. Summertime festivals celebrate our cities traditions, food, and yes, beer. And lots of it. Nine festivals give the public a chance to embrace our abundant beer offerings all in one place.

1. Brew at the Zoo

Animals and beer go together, right? Brew at the Zoo allows guests to explore the zoo while sipping on beer or wine. Tickets include a 4 oz. souvenir tasting glass along with eight sample tastings and admission to zoo after hours. Full-size beer and wine will be available to purchase.

Ticket prices:

Members: $27

Designated driver: $16

Non-members: $33

Designated driver: $22

When: Saturday, July 15 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

2. Keepers at the Craft Beer Fest

The first annual craft beer fest brings eight new breweries of Northeast Ohio to one space. It's a one-stop shop to try the latest breweries to hit Cleveland.

3. Scene Ale Fest 2017

It's the 9th Annual Scene Ale Fest 2017 where you can drink among the trees. There will be over 50 regional beers to taste.

Ticket Prices:

$35 in advance

$45 at the door

prices include all the admission with 15 drink tickets

When:  Saturday, July 29, 2017, from 1-6 p.m.

Where: Lincoln Park in Tremont

4. Downtown Canton's 1st Annual Hall of Fame City BrewFest

To celebrate the Hall of Fame week in Downtown Canton, the Canton Brewing Company is hosting the first brew fest. Tickets are $25 and include 20 beer samplings. Beer tastings will be available from more than ten regional breweries, along with delicious eats that go great with beer and live music.

5. 2nd Annual Akron Ale Fest

This festival celebrates up and coming breweries in Akron. Local food trucks will be there to feed hungry festival goers. Tickets are $45 for drinkers and $10 for a designated driver. Some breweries who will give samples of their signature beers include:

Where: The Trolley Barn | 47 N. Main Street Akron, Ohio

6. Brewfest Waterfront District 2017

This festival will take place at Black River Landing, providing attendees with a great view. Last year, the festival welcomed breweries from across the country. While the list of breweries attending isn't final, organizers say many who came last year will be back. Tickets are $25 which includes 15 4 oz. samples and a souvenir glass.

7. Chardon Tomorrow Brewfest

25 local breweries will be showcased at this festival, which is six years in the making. Music will be live all day with food truck vendors on site. Tickets are $10 at pre-sale.

8. Burning River Fest

While this festival is so much more than just beer, it's presented by Cleveland's oldest brewery, Great Lakes Brewery. Burning River Fest will feature five GLB beers along with food options from local vendors. Robert DeLong, and Brent Wesley and the Honeytones will headline the event.

$15 each night

Gates open at 6 p.m. each night

When: Friday, August 18 and Saturday, August 19

Where: Whiskey Island

9.Lake Erie Craft Beer and Wine Festival

In its second year, the festival will draw in more than 75 beer and wine producers. Rick & The Cutting Edge will perform along with other local bands.

When: Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
