A body was found in Lake Erie in the Euclid area Monday, officials confirmed.
The U.S Coast Guard confirmed the body was found in Lake Erie and recovered by Euclid police.
Lt. Mitch Houser with Euclid police said their department received a report of something suspicious in the water near East 198th Street at the lake. Houser confirmed the body was severely decomposed, and the remains were taken to the Cuyahoga County Coroner's Office for processing.
