Officials in Grafton Township have identified a man who was found unconscious on Cowley Road Monday morning.

The Elyria Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol says Jerry Lee Fowle, 62, was found north of State Route 303 around 10 a.m.

The man was found by a passerby and was wearing gray jogging shorts, a t-shirt and lime green Saucony Flexiform running shoes with a hole in the toe area of the left shoe. Highway Patrol says he was unresponsive, most likely due to a medical condition. Law enforcement does not suspect foul play.

According to witnesses, the man was jogging westbound on State Route 303 before we was found on Cowley Road. When he was found, he had no visible scars, marks or tattoos and did not have identification on him.

Highway Patrol says Fowle's wife came home from work and found her husband was not and his running shoes were gone. She immediately contacted Grafton Police.

Fowle is currently in the Intensive Care Unit at University Hospital Elyria.
