A woman's purse was stolen while she was in an elevator in her apartment building in Akron, according to Akron police.
Danielle Soisson told police an unknown suspect was in the foyer of her apartment building around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday on West Market Street. She returned with her neighbor from getting food.
The unknown man followed them onto the elevator, pulled out an orange box cutter and grabbed Soisson's purse, according to officers.
Soisson told police her neighbor chased the suspect for several blocks before loosing sight of him.
