In 2015, the development of the Flats East Bank came quickly with restaurants popping up left and right in an area by the river that once was booming in the 70's and 80's. Fast forward to now and almost every space is filled with the exception of the former space where Crop once stood
After months of an empty real-estate front in the East Bank, three new venues are giving the former Crop space a new purpose this summer. With these new additions, there will be a total of 15 bars and restaurants in the Flats East Bank with five establishments opening in 2017, including Margaritaville and the Rascal Flats bar and grille.
Dante's Inferno
First appearing in Progressive Field last year, Dante's Inferno earned quite the following after hungry baseball fans raved about the pizza coming from brick ovens. This fast-Italian-style pizzeria will offer made-to-order pizza in the Flats.
Backyard Bocce
Get active while drinking and eating at Backyard Bocce. The casual atmosphere of being in your own backyard is something visitors should expect. There will be three indoor Bocce ball courts, one outdoor court, arcade style games and Skee-ball. Fire pits and patio furniture will fill the outside space looking out at the Cuyahoga River and Lake Erie.
Thirsty Dog Brewing Company
What started in Canton is moving its way up north. The expansion will feature a brewpub with a 10-barrel system and restaurant. Beers brewed here will be specific to the area and will offer seasonal flavors. Thirsty Dog Brewery joins Collision Bend Brewing Company and Beerhead as bars and restaurants offering a long list of beer.
