An Akron woman who was sitting on her front porch Thursday night was injured in a drive-by shooting.
The shooting happened just before 7 p.m. in the 900 block of Stadelman Avenue, according to Akron police.
The 39-year-old woman was shot in the shoulder. She was taken to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Witnesses told authorities a gray two-door car, heading westbound on Stadelman Avenue, opened fire in the direction of the house and then sped off, police said. Two cars were also hit in the barrage of bullets.
A description of the suspect or suspects is not available.
