Two kidnapping incidents in close proximity on Cleveland's west side have police looking for suspect

Two kidnapping robbery incidents that happened close to one another in Cleveland have police investigating.

According to officers, both incidents involved a similarly described suspect and happened during the same time of day. Police are looking for the suspect, who may be the same is both of these cases.

On Feb. 1, an 18-year-old man was walking near W. 67th and Clark Ave. around 7 a.m. when he was grabbed and punched by a man. The suspect dragged the man down the street and threatened him with a knife. Fortunately, the victim was able to break free and run.

Two days later, on Feb. 3, a 12-year-old boy was walking around 6:30 a.m. near W. 39th St. and Denison Ave. He was also grabbed and taken to an abandoned home. The suspect reportedly attempted to rob the child, but he had nothing with him other than school supplies. The child was also able to break free and run away.
