CLEVELAND — Longtime Cuyahoga County Director of Corrections Kenneth Kochevar is returning to the county’s troubled jail.
Kochevar has been hired as a Special Assistant to the Corrections Administrator.
Kockevar worked for Cuyahoga County for nearly 43 years before leaving in 2015.
According to a county job posting, in his new position, Kochevar will be a member of the jail’s management team, helping coordinate with other agencies to ensure the jail complies with state and federal standards. The job also is expected to assist with “resolving challenging administrative problems in planning and directing work of staff.”
A county spokeswoman said Monday Kochevar will work a maximum of 25 hours a week and earn $47 an hour.
