Police are looking for the driver who hit and killed a woman in Plain Township Thursday night.
Her body was found on the side of the road Sunday morning.
It happened in the 1600 block of Diamond Street NE.
Authorities say 44-year-old Kimberly Renee Thompson was walking to her friend's house about 15 minutes away when she was killed.
Preliminary investigation suggests Thompson may have been struck by a vehicle that fled the scene around 9:45 p.m. on Thursday.
When she didn't show up at her friend's house that night, her family reported her missing.
Authorities looked for her but didn't find her.
Then, on Sunday, a friend of her's walked the roadway again. He found Thompson's cell phone and called 911.
A short distance away, he found her body in thick brush.
