Starting Wednesday morning, Canadians will be able to order recreational marijuana through the mail.
Canadian Parliament paved the way for legalization in June 2018.
News 5 Reporter Kevin Barry will be broadcasting a conversation on News 5 Cleveland's Facebook page with Higher Limits Cannabis Lounge Co-Owner Jon Liedtke at approximately 1:15 pm. Higher Limits is a business that has allowed people in Windsor, Ontario to "consume cannabis how they see fit," according to their website.
Canadians will be able to get marijuana products starting Wednesday, October 17. Fresh or dried cannabis, oils, and seeds for private growing are available right away. Edible products are not legal yet.
Barry and Liedtke will be talking about the push to legalize recreational marijuana across Canada, what products are available to consumers, and what lessons Canada's rollout might have for Ohio's medical marijuana rollout in the next few months.
