CLEVELAND — Cleveland fans might not get to cheer for Fransico Lindor for long.
Paul Dolan: "Probably the day we [hand out a $300 million contract] is when somebody else is doing $1 billion deals."— Zack Meisel (@ZackMeisel) March 25, 2019
Me: What would you say to fans worried about Lindor's future?
Dolan: “Enjoy him.”
That and more from my sit-down w/ the Indians' owner:https://t.co/GMXiDXTj0l
Indians fans took to Twitter to share their displeasure with Tribe owner Paul Dolan.
i think the thing that irks me the most about Paul Dolan is the way he tries to act like a poor person while owning a professional baseball team— Ms. Mollis (@BurdsIVue) March 25, 2019
As a cost-cutting measure Paul Dolan has announced that all Dollar Dog Nights this season will be Bring Your Own Bun.— Mike Polk Jr. (@mikepolkjr) March 25, 2019
In the past few weeks, multiple Major League Baseball players have been signing huge contracts.
Outfielder Mike Trout signed the largest contract in sports history last week with the Los Angeles Angels.
With major markets offering players these huge contracts, Cleveland just can't compete.
But don't fret yet Indians fans, Lindor still has until the 2021 season with Cleveland.
