CLEVELAND — Nothing is sacred. Nothing. Not even Slider's fur, which some unscrupulous fellow/genius has listed for sale on eBay.
Slider, the fuchsia Indians mascot with a yellow nose and a shaggy yellow tail has been taken advantage of for profit.
During spring training in February the mascot apparently lost a chunk of fur while getting out of the dugout in Arizona. Now an eBay user who goes by the name rufusruffcutt is selling a piece of his fur.
The current price is $48, with 34 bidders and 34 watchers.
How could someone take advantage of this beloved mascot?
It's Slider, people.
