CLEVELAND — “And we're underway at the corner of Carnegie and Ontario!”
If you’ve listened to a Cleveland Indians broadcast over the last 22 years you know there’s nothing more exciting than hearing a call from the “Voice of the Tribe,” Tom Hamilton. With the Indians season currently on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Indians have found a way to give fans that excitement while they wait for baseball’s return.
The Indians and Hamilton are teaming up for a fun project called “Home With Hammy.”
Fans can send in a video of themselves, their children, their pets or family making a play happen at home and Hamilton will narrate a play-by-play to the video.
To have Hamilton call a play from home, fans can submit their videos in the comments of the Indians’ Facebook post below.
Submissions in the comments should include your name, age, city and state and videos should be around 20 to 40 seconds long.
