OBERLIN, Ohio — Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield brought an early holiday to kids at the Boys and Girls Club in Oberlin.
Mayfield and his wife donated $5,000 worth of toys to the students.
“The kindness shown to our students from Mr. Mayfield and his wife warmed their hearts this holiday season. No one was expecting this amazing, selfless gift,” Director of Family and Student Support Services Jay Nimene said.
Oberlin City Schools Superintendent Dr. David Hall was enthusiastic about the donation to the students.
“We had no idea our students would be on the receiving end of Mr. Mayfield and his wife’s generosity, and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts this holiday season,” Hall said.
Guitars, remote-control cars, basketballs, and footballs, were just some of the toys he bought for the children.
