CLEVELAND — To the dismay of many fans, the Cleveland Browns will not be playing the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day, or any team for that matter, a league source confirmed to News 5's Jon Doss.

The Browns will miss another year of Thanksgiving Day action in the 2020 season.
Cleveland has not played in a Thanksgiving Day game since 1989. The Browns have an 0-3 record on the holiday in the NFL.
The Browns played the Cowboys in 1966 and again in 1982. Their last Thanksgiving Day match-up was against the Detroit Lions in 1989.
As a member of the All-America Football Conference (AAFC), the Browns were undefeated in Thanksgiving Day games.
While you won’t be able to watch the Browns on Thanksgiving Day this year, if you save yourselves a plate you can enjoy leftovers while watching them play later in the week.
