Friday night high school football playoff games will be impacted by very cold temperatures and potentially some widely scattered snow showers.

It will be cold and breezy around 7 to 8 p.m. with temperatures in the middle to upper 30s.  A light rain/snow mix may impact parts of the area around this time.  By 9 to 10 p.m., temperatures will dip into the low to middle 30s and light snow showers will be possible for a few spots.

Even if you are not affected by the snow, it will be cloudy, cold and breezy with wind out of the west around 15-20 mph.  Wind gusts could get up to 30 mph.  When you factor in the wind, it will feel like it’s in the 20s!  That means you will need to dress in layers and prepare for the potential of cold temperatures, snow and windy weather.
