Like the flip of a switch, the weather went from the temperatures in the 50s to plummeting temperatures that will produce snow throughout the week.

Monday

A Winter Weather Advisory is heading back to our area as the month of January comes to an end. The advisory will go into effect Monday afternoon through Tuesday morning, producing around 2-4 inches in most areas. For the areas farther East, residents could see snowfall between 3-5 inches.

CHECK OUR WEATHER ALERTS HERE.

Pockets of heavier snow could impact the evening commute.

Tuesday

With cold air coming from the Northwest along with the western part of Lake Erie thawed, lake effect snow will be a concern for Tuesday morning. It can reduce visibility and potentially cause delays for morning commuters.

CHECK OUR RADAR HERE.

The lake effect snow bands should taper off by Tuesday afternoon.

Wednesday through Friday

Snow still remains the focal point toward the end of the week as another snow system moves in Wednesday night into Thursday, followed by leftovers of the lake effect snow spilling into Thursday and Friday.

The Power of 5 Weather Team will continue to track the snow systems and give you updates throughout the week.
