Akron police look for man accused of shooting family dog during robbery

Akron police are looking for a man who shot a family dog during a robbery in January. 

Emmanuel Brown, 24, is wanted on charges of aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, abduction and animal cruelty. His last known address is on Callis Oval in Akron. 

On Jan. 5, Brown and another man allegedly entered an unlocked door of a home on Davis Street. 

Brown and the other man confronted one of the residents and threatened to kill her before shooting the family's dog, police say. They then ransacked the home, taking $300 from a table before running off. 

Brown should be considered armed and dangerous. He is described as being 6-foot, 3-inches tall, weighing 220 pounds.
