A woman has died after suffering a medical emergency and losing control of her car in Westlake on Saturday.
Police say preliminary investigation indicates 67-year-old Janet Read lost control of her car, hitting a concrete barrier and then a second car. That car was then pushed into a 61-year-old woman who was standing nearby.
Read's car then went into reverse, hit some fixtures at the Speedway gas station on Detroit Avenue, moved forward, hit a light pole, went into reverse again, hit a brick wall and then came to a stop.
Read was pronounced dead at St. John Medical Center.
