More than 243 marijuana plants, valued at $243,000, seized in Lorain County

The Lorain County Narcotics Unit busted an outdoor marijuana growing operation, seizing 243 marijuana plants on Sept. 14.

The Lorain County Drug Task Force executed a warrant at a growing operation in Columbia Township after receiving an anonymous tip about the operation on Sept. 2.

The marijuana plants, varying in size, had an approximate street value of $243,000, according to authorities.

The plants were well attended to with an irrigation system for watering.

The investigation has been forwarded to the Lorain County Grand Jury for prosecution.
