Who said there is no love at the convention? For two delegates the RNC will be memorable in more than just one way.
Tuesday morning Christopher Sheldon, a Massachusetts delegate, proposed to Lacey McGreevy, a Rhode Island alternate delegate. The proposal was appropriate for the GOP convention, because the couple had met at a Republican event before the Rhode Island primary, as per The Boston Globe.
Sheldon told the Boston Globe that he had initially planned to propose on Thursday when Trump is expected to accept the Republican nomination, but since the ring had recently arrived from New York, the time seemed right.
The two plan to have an October wedding, but for now will celebrate with the rest of the week at the RNC.
