The fourth annual Rock Hall Half Marathon is this Sunday! Are you ready to race with News 5?

On Sunday, Aug. 19, lace up your shoes and enjoy a morning run of your choosing starting and ending at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

The featured News 5K is just one of four options. The half marathon and three-person relay will begin at 7:00 a.m., followed by the 10k race at 7:30 a.m. and the News 5K at 7:45 a.m.

News 5’s Rob Powers will emcee with other on-air personalities from News 5 who will be taking part in the festivities.

Runners are encouraged to register online as soon as possible for any of the events. More than 4,000 people from 43 states are expected to hit the streets of Cleveland.

All participants will receive a finisher's medal and event shirt. If you need an incentive to try and get that half marathon under your belt, half marathon runners and relay participants will receive a ticket to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, valid anytime.

The race expo and packet pick up will be Saturday, Aug. 18 from 9 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Cleveland at The Arcade.

Greater Cleveland XC, which announced the event with Second Sole, and the Lake Health Foundation are working together to increase awareness, educate the community and raise money to help address hunger as a health issue in the Greater Cleveland area. Participants can help by bringing a canned good or non-perishable item to the packet pick up. The food items will be donated to local food pantries.

Greater Cleveland XC is also partnered with News 5 to encourage and inspire a healthy lifestyle.

The run will be powered by PNC Bank, whose sponsorship helps fund training runs, community health and educational events.
