Happy birthday, Cleveland! The city celebrates 221 years on Saturday - but the celebration starts early in Public Square.
A Cleveland celebration is taking place on Public Square Friday afternoon from noon until 1 p.m. A wreath laying ceremony and speech by Mayor Frank Jackson will take place at this event, hosted by the Early Settlers Association of the Western Reserve.
In classic Cleveland style, one celebration just isn't enough. Another birthday party is being hosted by University Circle, celebrating on Wade Oval from noon until 2 p.m.
This celebration will include solar car races, games on the green, bounce houses and even a slice of free birthday cake!
With temperatures in the mid-to-high 80s - it's a beautiful day to get out and celebrate.
