CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Cleveland Metroparks shared some good news Wednesday by announcing that it will credit anyone with a membership for the time that the zoo is closed due to coronavirus concerns.
In an email sent to members, the zoo stated: “As the zoo’s nonprofit partner, your membership is vital to the Zoo Society and provides necessary operating support for the zoo, as well as funding needed to care for the animals that call the zoo home.”
The zoo stated that members will not lose any time on their memberships as it will extend memberships by the amount of time the zoo is closed.
Additionally, members who chose to renew their membership before the zoo reopens will have their membership be valid for one year from the date the zoo reopens or one year from the date of the current expiration date (whichever is later), the zoo said.
