Around the time of the Republican National Convention, Justin Bieber was offered a $5 million dollar deal to play at a venue near the convention center, TMZ reports.
While Bieber was strongly considering it, he eventually turned the offer down. But why?
On top of a number of reasons, it could have had something to do with his manager, Scooter Braun, threatening to quit and some advice from LeBron James himself.
While the deal represented Bieber's single largest payout in his career LeBron urged him not to take it.
TMZ reported that Bieber's band (comprised entirely of African-Americans) also did not want to play the convention.
