Laser holiday lights obstruct pilots' vision

A new holiday light product has started affecting pilots' views.

Many homes around northeast Ohio are decorated with lasers pointed at their homes. These lights are easy to install and many like the appearance of shapes like snowflakes or Christmas trees on their homes, but the Federal Aviation Administration reports that they have been the subject of pilot complaints.

The lights should be aimed at homes—not the sky, where they can obstruct pilots' vision.

The FAA said that they would contact the homeowner to ask them to adjust them before filing charges.
