CLEVELAND — There will be a “Stand for Solidarity” march held Thursday evening in Cleveland as community activists, police, religious leaders, city council members and many others take to the streets to rally for social justice.

The event, hosted by Cleveland Ward 7 Councilman Basheer Jones, is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. at the Thurgood Marshall Recreation Center, 8611 Hough Ave.

The march ends at Fannie Lewis Community Park at League Park near Lexington Avenue and East 70th Street.

“We are marching in peace,” said Jones. “We are marching for diversity, social justice, and to ensure all residents have equitable opportunities.”
