NORTH CANTON, Ohio — A North Canton girl is selling lemonade in front of her home on the Fourth of July for a good cause, according to The Canton Repository.

Cassidy Cecil will offer glasses of homemade lemonade with optional fresh strawberry and pineapple mix-ins at her stand in front of her family's home, which is located near the site of the annual North Canton Jaycees Fireworks Celebration Event.

All the money raised will go directly to Gary Sinise Foundation, which support veterans, first responders and their families through programs such as providing adaptive homes for wounded vets.

The cause is near and dear to the family's heart. Her dad, Jon Cecil, served in the Marine Corps and the National Guard.

“It’s something near and dear to us just to be able to give back to the a community that routinely, selflessly gives so much,” he told the Canton Rep. ”(Cassidy) is all-in on that.”

Her goal is to raise $2,000 for the organization. She will begin selling lemonade at noon on Fourth of July.
