ABJ: Akron's Savannah James to christen Goodyear's newest airship next month

According to the Akron Beacon Journal, Akron native, businesswoman, and wife of Lebron James, Savannah James will be in Akron next month to christen Goodyear's newest airship, the 'Wingfoot Two.'

James joins a long list of notable women who have christened Goodyear's airships including Amelia Earhart, Sally Ride and Robin Roberts of Good Morning America.

The ceremony will take place on October 21 in Suffield Township, but Goodyear has not yet released any more details about the event, the Akron Beacon Journal reported.

According to the Akron Beacon Journal, Savannah James said that she feels "absolutely honored to be a part of this christening." She went on to say that “with Goodyear being so much a part of Akron and our foundation always wanting to better our community, I feel like it is a perfect match. Goodyear means so much to our community, and we feel a sense of gratitude to be part of this amazing event.”
