Eight people are dead after another rash of overdoses in Akron.
Police said there have been 91 overdoses total in the last 10 days in the city.
That includes the three people who died when 20 reported overdoses bombarded paramedics and officers last week.
Akron police say some of the heroin used in the overdoses this week may have been laced with carfentanil—a general anesthetic agent used on large animals.
