A fire broke out in Akron early Thursday at a home where a 21-year-old man was murdered earlier this month.
Firefighters said the fire was intentionally set around 1 a.m. near a broken basement window of the Storer Avenue home. Smoke filled the home but a neighbor called police before it could cause extensive damage.
On Dec. 4, 21-year-old TyShaen Vaughn was shot and killed inside the home at 601 Storer Avenue. Neighbors said the rest of the family had just moved from the home earlier this week.
Arson investigators were called to the scene.
