CANTON, Ohio — A Canton City schools teacher is on administrative leave after a video circulating on YouTube allegedly implicates one of its assistant coaches of soliciting an underage student.
The school district said they take any and all allegations regarding the safety of its students seriously and they are fully cooperating with police.
The coach will be on administrative leave pending the results of the investigation.
The district will be providing counselors for students.
The district asked that anyone with information that could help the investigation should call the Canton Police Department at 330-649-5800.
Canton City Schools have not identified the coach and did not say what sport they coached.
The Canton Police Department said it is aware of the video and will be working with prosecutors to investigate any criminal acts that may have been committed.
