A family is trying to help their 99-year-old grandfather meet LeBron James.
Samara Elkins and her family are trying to help their Grandpa Sam meet LeBron James. Sam, who has been a Cavs fan since the team was created, was diagnosed three weeks ago with stage four metastatic cancer. After a stint in Hospice he is back home just in time for his 99th birthday on December 20.
Elkins and family said in a Facebook post that Sam "watches every single game, and when he can't watch it, asks for updates every 10 minutes." He even lives right around the corner in Akron.
The Facebook post has currently been shared over 400 times.
