Wednesday marks one year since a 21-year-old University of Akron student was shot and killed inside an Akron pizza shop.
Zakareia Husein was murdered during a robbery at Premium New York Style Pizza on Glenwood Avenue on Dec. 7, 2015.
Police are still looking for his killer.
friends and family are holding a vigil Wednesday at 9 p.m. at Springfield Lake in Springfield Township.
Zak's parents, Salah and Naeima Husein, described their son as "a wonderful kid" and "a special person who came from heaven to this earth."
