The victims of an aggravated burglary in Akron said three men barged in after knocking on their apartment door early Friday morning.
Akron police say the victims heard a knock on the door just after midnight. When they answered the door, three men barged in. A 26-year-old man was pistol-whipped. The 37-year-old resident was shot in the buttocks. He was transported to Akron General Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.
A 24-year-old woman in the apartment was not injured.
The suspects, described as three black men, got away before police arrived. The shooter was about 5-foot 10-inches tall, thin and wearing a black ski mask, a black and gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
Police do not have any information about a motive.
