Akron police have charged two parents in connection to the March overdose of a 2-year-old child.
Randy Boggs, 27, and Catelynn Smiley, 21, are charged with child endangering.
The child overdosed on a synthetic opiate on March 7.
"His lips are blue," the caller told the dispatcher. "He's having a hard time breathing."
The overdose happened at the 2-year-old's grandparents house but police say Boggs was there at the time, playing video games with his friends.
The child had to be revived with Naloxone.
