Akron Public School administrators are trying to clear up rumors that have been floating around social media that a man threatened people with a gun.
Officials say police are aware of a man who has been spotted near University of Akron and in other parts of the city over the last few days, carrying a gun across his back.
Police have talked to him and they say he is just exercising his rights to carry a weapon.
Akron school administrators say that police do not believe he is a threat and that he hasn't threatened anyone.
