On Thursday Verizon announced it will be offering a new LTE Advanced network in 461 cities across North America, including Cleveland and Akron.

Customers will now be receiving a major network enhancement for no additional cost, according to Verizon. Their LTE Advanced uses software that combines multiple channels to speed mobile data over the network more quickly than ever which will result in 50% faster peak speeds for customers who use one of the 39 LTE Advanced-capable phones and tablets, including Android and iPhone devices.

If you have a phone or tablet with LTE Advanced capabilities, the most recent software will benefit from the enhancements without any cost. Verizon also stresses that there are no settings to change or indicators to check.
