A 25-year-old man was shot and killed while sitting in a car on Cleveland's east side.

Cleveland police were called to the 3600 block of East 138th Street around 10 p.m. Tuesday for a report of shots fired.

When they arrived they found the man—identified as 25-year-old Glover Booker of Cleveland—slumped over in the driver's side of a Ford Taurus with gunshot wounds to the head.

Booker was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say preliminary investigation shows that an unknown person fired shots from outside the car, hitting Booker.

After the shooting, the victim drove the car about two houses northbound and onto a tree lawn, according to police.

Residents said they heard gunfire and called police.

A suspect description is not available at this time.

The Cleveland police homicide unit is investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 216-623-5464.
