CLEVELAND — A 3-month-old puppy is in need of some help.

The Cleveland Animal Protective League said Pancakes arrived at the shelter on Thursday.

When Pancakes was examined, staff noticed that the St. Bernard puppy had a significant break in his elbow.

The puppy underwent surgery 18 hours later and needed four pins placed in his elbow.

Pancakes will need to undergo months of physical therapy to strengthen his leg as he grows.

The surgery and care of Pancakes will cost a minimum of $4,000.
