6-year-old with cancer benefits from unusual surgery at Cleveland Clinic

The last day of September wrapped up Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, devoted to raising more awareness of pediatric cancers and treatments. 

But for families of children with cancer, every day, week and month is about awareness of a battle that turns their lives upside down. 

One 6-year-old boy from Elyria who developed cancer in his right arm benefited from an unusual surgery at Cleveland Clinic that preserved his arm and even it’s potential to continue growing. 

And his determination and positive attitude have been an inspiration for his medical team and his family.
