An arrest warrant was issued for Charles E. Caldwell for his involvement in the fatal shooting of 5-month-old Aavielle Wakefield, according to Cleveland Municipal Court.
The warrant for Caldwell stated on Oct. 1, 2015 at 3412 E. 145th St., Caldwell fired a handgun at a moving Oldsmobile Alero that was traveling west on Spear Avenue from East 145th Street. One of the fired shots struck and killed 5-month-old Aavielle Wakefield.
U.S. Marshals arrested 19-year-old Davon Holmes in 2015 for his connection to the infant's homicide.
Wakefield was shot in the chest while she sat in her car seat, next to her sister. Wakefield's mother and another family member were in the car with her as well.
