An arrest warrant was issued for Charles W. Stoves on March 23 in connection to a woman who was beaten to death just two days earlier, according to court documents.
An affidavit stated on March 21 around 7 a.m. in the 10000 block of Folk Avenue, Stoves inflicted severe blunt force impacts to Lola A. Robinson's head in the garage of a vacant home, causing her death.
The document said Robinson's death was ruled a homicide. She had active domestic violence complaints and a temporary protection order against Stoves from this month.
