Police were shocked Wednesday morning to learn that the driver involved in a minor crash in Cleveland was only four years old.

Officers were called to the 3000 block of Saratoga Avenue around 7 a.m. for a report of a car into a fence.

According to police, a 4-year-old boy had taken the car keys off a coffee table, went outside, got in the car and put it in gear.

He drove the car across the street, coming to rest against a neighbor's fence.

No injuries were reported.

Police said the mother was inside the home at the time taking care of other children. A child endangering report will not be filed.
