A car and semi caught fire after a crash on I-77 north near East 9th Street early Tuesday morning.
According to a truck driver that witnessed the crash, the driver of the car rear-ended the semi of a friend that was heading to pick up a load of salt around 2:30 a.m.

The crash caused the car to burst into flames and the fire spread to the rear tires of the semi-trailer.
The witness told News 5 that the driver of the car was not around.
Witnesses believed that the driver of the car jumped out and ran off, but Cleveland police have not released official details.
