All week people have been showing up at the Cleveland police union hall on West 58th Street.

They're donating cases of water, Gatorade, snacks and sunscreen for thousand of police officers working the RNC during a heat wave.

So many cases of water and food the place looks like a grocery store.

Lisa Kaesberger donated water and her time.

“I donated water and I have been here now for four days loading and unloading everybody's vehicle,” Kapsberger said.

Jim Comber from Shaker Valley Foods is lending two refrigerated trucks.

The trucks keep the water and food cold when it's delivered with a police escort to the officers working the RNC.

"We support the police departments, they're very important to all of us, and they're doing a remarkable job,” said Comber.

"I can't tell you how much it means to us, and the men and women of the police department,” said Steve Loomis President of the Cleveland Police Patrolman’s Association.
