Monday, Cleveland City Councilman Zack Reed along with other city councilors agreed to pass legislation to place banners around Progressive Field and Cleveland’s downtown area.

"Chief Wahoo is not appropriate for our public poles. And therefore we now have a mechanism to say that publicly,” said Reed. "Bigotry and discrimination will not be tolerated."

Reed said by next week he will have pushed forward legislation that would not allow the display of anything that is racist or bigoted.
