A man has been arrested by the U.S. Marshals after police said he robbed several people in Cleveland's Little Italy neighborhood.

One of the victims was a priest, who was struck in the face with a gun, police said.

Johnchez Phillips, 20, is accused of pistol-whipping a priest in Little Italy while trying to steal his car Dec. 5. The arrest warrant details a string of robberies that police believe that Phillips committed.

Police arrested a suspect last month, but the person was later released. They never released that person's identity.

Then, an arrest warrant for Phillips was issued Dec. 23.

U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott added, “Johnchez Phillips is a dangerous individual, one who our team wasn’t going to give up looking for, even through the holidays.”
