Multiple Cleveland businesses were robbed Thursday evening, and by the same suspect according to Cleveland police.

The man attempted to rob the Burger King at West 142nd Street and Lorain Avenue around 7:30 p.m., Cleveland police said.

An employee told newsnet5.com a suspect entered the restaurant and said, "I'll shoot you dead if you don't give me the money." She said she went to get the keys to the register, but when she returned he was gone. Nothing was stolen.

Then, the employee said police received another call while they were at Burger King, stating that the same suspect was robbing a Walgreens down the street.

That store at West 130th Street and Bellaire Road was robbed around 7:40 p.m. The location was held up at gunpoint with customers inside.

Cleveland police confirmed the robberies were committed by the same suspect, described as a black man who is 6 feet tall and 250-300 lbs.

Lakewood police told newsnet5.com there was an attempted robbery around 6:30 p.m. at the Walgreens on Detroit Avenue and West 117th Street. Police said they would check in with Cleveland police to see if there is a connection.
